Hairy Heifer Cattle company is a new sector off our cow/calf operation Wolf Creek Ranch. We have been breeding brangus and braford cows for over 20 years and have decided to start breeding miniature Scottish Highlands for personal pets due to falling in love with the first highland we bought as a pet for us. By definition a mini highland is under 48 inches at the hip meaning these little guys do get bigger but are still smaller than your average cow and require less pasture land. We recommend having at least two acres of pasture grazing land per Mini cow. We take pride in our pure bred genetics of miniature highland cattle so we do not cross with any other miniature breed.

Cows, like dogs each have their own personalities and can be very shy and timid. We do our best to halter break our mini highland cows we sell and make sure they are completely healthy before they go to their new homes. our Calves are weaned at three months old as we can not guarantee the health of a bottle baby.

Being in the agriculture industry it is my duty to promote farming and the love ranchers have for their animals. Mini highland cows are amazing animals and will be the talk of the town. They have such quirky personalities and bring so much joy to our household. We hope they can bring that joy to you to.

No! We suggest 2-3 acres per mini that has shade and water!
With our breeding schedule we should have 6 babies available every fall/winter!
We do not sell bottle babies due to the stress on the calf and the momma. Our babies are free to go home anywhere from 4.5 months to 6 months!
